I take it that's one of Australia's less high brow papers?
As a football fan only, Australian sport fans never registered with me until I lived abroad. As with anywhere, met loads of great Ozzies who can give it out and take it. However, the whiniest, nastiest worst loser I have ever met was a guy I was mates with for a while. Am not anymore which thankfully spares me his bitching whenever Australia lose at sport. He's a massive football fan too and to listen to him you'd think Australia are and have been a major powerhouse in the sport for many years.
Never met anyone get so unpleasant when his teams lose.
