Some seem to have overlooked that Orient also fielded a weakened team and it worries me that our fringe players could not beat their fringe players. How many of those, currently out of the 1st team, will be knocking on Slade's door demanding they are good enough for the 1st team?

The JPT may be a joke at the early stages but there is money to be made especially if we were to get to Wembley. Or maybe we have come so far that's not important anymore?

No doubt the same people who say its ok to lose and the game was pointless ( in a major competition for the lower leagues and a realistic Wembley trip ) are the ones who slagged off McGhee and still do for his defeatist attitude at Home to Stoke when WE WERE ALREADY RELEGATED.

It's a bit strange how many Brighton fans appear happy to see the team lose. Personally, I want us to win every game we play; don't expect us to, but want us to.

At the moment, I would be happy to see us win a game..........period.

Quite right 1234!

Fans who are happy to see us lose have no perception of the game and what it takes to win matches.

These fans have probably never played the game and don't understand whats needed for team progression

......because matches are not won "in the long run" or "over a season", they are won in the 90+ minutes that they are played, on the pitch, and with the match ball, on the day. Every match means something to the long run, but not vice-versa - so our team have to win matches on the spot, on the day.
They are professional players, and football is their trade - so I really can't feel this "oh well it'll come good eventually.. I think....I hope".

If a man is building a house, does he think "oh well, most of the walls are a bit shaky, but I'll get one right every so often"? Would that be a nice house to live in and would you buy one of his properties?

Howabout a restaurant where the chef occasionally strikes it lucky with an omelette, but most of the time it's either liquid, or burned?

Or a tax accountant who sometimes gets you sorted, but usually leaves you scraping for a meal because he can't get the sums right?

Alright, so someone has to lose, some teams have to get relegated. It's not too much to expect for it to be some other team now and not ours.
That regulation sized rectangle is there and it's big enough for that sphere to fit into. Get it in the goal, get the ball down that end and make it so. Or else what are you doing making up numbers on that field of play?
