Reading hypocrites? The Test

Newbury, Berkshire.
It's the old, old story..........

Money goes to money etc ...........

Money corrupts peoples moral and ethical judgement ............

Get the money out of football - bring back the maximum wage, terraces, cloth caps, jumpers for goalposts ( starts foaming at mouth ).

Right or wrong, you decide. However Reading FC only see shades of grey these days.

BTW Mr. Madejski, you said you were not going to bother offering the new manger a contract. So what are the chances Coppell could get sacked if results don't turn around.

Better the devil you know,.

If we poached a manager from another club like say, Ian Dowie from Oldham, we will not make ourselves look bad. The difference between BHAFC and Reading is that BHAFC have not claimed a moral high ground. Madejski has. So he should stick to it, not be a hypocrite.

I won't mince my words, Madejski is a f***ing spastic. He is a wanker of the highest order. While I was in Kos and the whole Pardew to West Ham affair was going on I thought he was a tit then from what I read in the papers. He failed to recognise what DK knows, that you can't stop people from exploring opportunities. All that talk of injunctions and stuff - what a dickhead.

He was amazingly ungracious about our championship victory, while everyone acclaimed our momentus overhaul of Reading's lead, there were dark mutterings from Thames Valley about them losing it rather than us winning it, the Meridian interview on the Championes 2 video only underlines what a fucknut he is.

He is a greasy skinned, spotty, four-eyed geek. Why whinge about West Ham tapping up Pardew then make it public that he wants Coppell by approaching the club? What is the bloody difference? Either way it unsettles the manager and causes friction. Either way it makes it clear there is an offer to be heard.

Reading got shat on by West Ham, so they decide to shit on us. Madejski must feel so much better about himself this morning knowing he has done exactly what he preached was wrong.

I hope his penis extension of a self-named stadium collapses with the **** inside.

What also really pisses me off is the Reading fans holier than thou attitude.

"We don't want Coppell"

"I feel sorry for Brighton fans"

When you agree and say "yes Madjeski is a dick in the highest form, and although he's gone through the right channels, he's still trying to poach a manager from another team" they get on their high horse.

Look at it from our perspective:

1. We didn't want our board to go after a manager in-contract... sticking by his morals.

2. We know how it felt just three weeks ago.

What else are we expected to think?!? None of us have any problems with Brighton (well, hardly any), so what are we meant to think towards a club beleaguered (sp?) by bad luck, and then our board comes in to make it just that one bit worse? We're hardly going to come on NSC and all start saying "get over it", "he wants to make a step up, leave him to it" or other shite like that which was posted by West Ham fans (wankers) on our board.

Doesn't seem like we can win, us Reading fans, in that situation. If we spout crap then we're "arrogant", and if we actually genuinely feel sorry then we're "holier than thou". :shootself

But yet ArseReading fans (not all, but a lot) refuse to accept that Madjeski is doing the same to us as what West Ham did to you.

OK he's going through the right channels, but he is still "poaching" another manager from a club.

Do you agree with me or just think that Madjeski is doing what any other manager would do?

Madejski is doing what any chairman would do, definitely. If West Ham had gone up to Norwich and asked for Nigel Worthington, then there'd be a very high chance that they'd be ringing up DK for Coppell too. Ditto most Div 1 clubs. Coppell is well-known to be a good manager, not just to Reading FC.

The only reason we don't see it the same as the Pardew case is because DK said "yes" when we asked to speak to him. If a manager is good enough to manage in Division One, there's often very little anyone can do about it (BTW - Coppell may very well stay, nothing is over yet). If a player is too good for Division 2, he often goes to the Premiership or Division 1 while still under contract. That's not poaching, is it?

If a manager is too good for Division Two, then isn't it obvious that a Division One club with a vacancy will come in for him?!?

Like I say, I don't like the stance by Madejski, but you have to remember that all us Reading fans are indebted to him for investing in our club and finally allowing us to get anywhere near reaching the potential of the club. We're around 50% of the way there, and Madejski will leave when its 100% complete. Hence, because of what he's done for the club for the good, you won't find many Reading fans speaking up against him for any decisions. No-one wants him to leave, and after the backlash he got following the McGhee saga in 1995, we've all learned to criticise him through the right channels rather than through open protest (like 95).

This appears to be a reasonable discussion....

Have I typed in the wrong url?

Its gotta be said, madejski is a hypocrite, and I agree with all the comments above, but I do sympathise with Wilts trying to justify it all.

Still got my fingers crossed following that Owusu theory......

I meant to say chairman - not manager:dunce:

Sorry Wilts but I have always hated Reading with a passion. This is probably why I am so bias towards them. I can honestly say I HATE them more than Palarse and Cardiff. I should learn not to be so passionate!:lolol:

But I am still miffed that whilst there are a few managers out there who do not have a club (hoddle, graham, roeder, etc), and he has chosen yet again, Brighton. After what he said to the press as well, you would think that he would be careful of a) going back to brighton (again!!!!!!) and b) try any other channel before going to another club.

Madjeski is full of shit, as pointed out by someone else, he was whining in the press last week about how he wouldn't even bother offering his new manager a contract as they weren't worth the paper they were printed on.

Well spank my arse and call me Charlie, he's offered Steve Coppell a contract!

Publicity seeking, egomaniac TWAT, of the highest order. End of.

I reckon they'll be carrying Madeski out of his stadium in a box and the job still wouldn't be 100 % complete.

That's how money & success corrupts people. They just can't get enough of it.

Madejski may want to get Reading to the premiership, but he is quite happy to ride roughshod over, not only the so called ' little ' ( sic ) clubs, but his own standards of professionalism and integrity, to achieve it.

Sorry JM, but your obsession with ' I'm all right jack - heres a few quid, now f*** off ' should be aimed at Alan Pardew, not Brighton & Hove Albion.

A little like Saddam Hussein, don't you think?

Constructing great monuments, then naming them after yourself.

Saddam Madjeski :lolol:
