re-new or not to re-new?

I am very disillusioned with Brighton and Withdean at the moment. I am seriously considering not re-newing my season ticket. I reckon I might use the money for an all-inclusive holiday to the Caribbean. I still plan to see them away from home, but I just can't be arsed with the dire atmosphere at Withdean. What should I do?

For the record I don't moan at all at Withdean. It's all the people who sit around me who get on the teams back from the word go. It's annoying and depressing and I can do with out it.

Did you notice the winking smiley?

Mods - can we have a tongue in cheek smiley please

:)

Stick around, forget about the holiday and try and buy some perspective instead. It's not that expensive.

I know what you mean DEZ , prices will rise next season so a season tkt for the south stand will be about £450, plus i reckon they will scrap the free cup ticket due to this seasons fiasco!

I will be-grudgingly renew, but if we dont go up i think the club will have to think hard about keeping tkt prices low just to get people to re-new.

With the prices proberly going up and div 2 footie being on the cards (at the mo anyway) I am also feelin very down in the dumps with it all,I will be there next season,Not sure why though,I do love the club and am not no glory hunter,Yes we must take the rough with the smooth,But the holiday sounds tempting.

A lot of my group are doing some soul-searching about renewing or not. It's purely the shit stadium that is the problem, not the team or the club, or even the football that's being played...

The moaners will always be with us. The fact they are moaning now after the recent years we have had just shows that even when we get 20K at Falmer, they'll be moaning about all the queues or the new fans not providing the same atmosphere, you name it, something will put a crimp in their day. The moaning says more about their personalities than anything about Albion's progress.

I'm really looking forward to Falmer because the whingers will be heavily diluted by the optimism of a newer and younger fan base.

I never thought i'd even consider not re-newing. It's not like i'm giving up on Brighton - i'll be Albion til I die. I just think i'd rather spend the money more wisely, and go to games when I feel like it. To be honest, if they play like that did on saturday more regularly tickets for Withdean won't be hard to come by next season.

An people like you really annoy me. Why should people spend the equivalent of a Carribean Holiday on a mediocre product in the worst facilities in the Football league without a parking space for miles on end? If you want to, Good for you but others who question their sanity do have a point. Blind loyalty (as there is no other sane reason to have a Withdean season ticket) only goes so far and crowds will go down until;

(a) The Product improves
(b) The Facilites improve.

My guess is that (a) cannot happen without (b) (I.e Falmer)

i had the same dillema as you last summer - i decided to go to Thailand instead. On saturday sitting there(i still buy some home tickets off net etc) i knew i made the right decision.

As for idiots who say things like

" Go. I would rather do without moaners like you thanks "

Stop being a prick. Formerly Known as DE can make is own decisions in life and IS a Brighton fan regardless of wether he likes Withdean or not.

As I said before my post was said tongue in cheek with a smiley. It was a gentle wind-up.

Sense of humour bypass?

DEZ . . .. I was in your predicament 2 years ago, for other reasons, I did renew, and didnt go much, a waste of money, and denying someone a seat (although I struggled to give it away some weeks) this year I didnt renew, Ive been to a game when I wanted to, no problem and feel much better for doing the other things I needed to, I think the break may rekindle my enthusiasm in a year or so, but In the meantime Im glad I've saved myself a not inconsiderable sum of money, AND freed the seat for someone else . . . .not to say done lots of other, more constructive things I'd been wanting to do with the spare Saturdays . . .always listening to SCR mind

the one game I saw this season we where diabolically bad and I think thats the way we are at the moment.

Could you please post details of where you can get an all-inclusive holiday in the Caribbean for the cost of an Albion season ticket.

If you 'can't be arsed with the dire atmosphere at Withdean' then get over it - like it or not it is our ground until Falmer opens and we have to lump it.

If, on the other hand, you can't be arsed with supporting your team through thick and thin, rain or shine, promotion or relegation, then perhaps you should consider your options

Me a true fan who would watch My Beloved Albion in whatever circumstances.

If you lot don't like it PISS OFF!
Although I am sure you will all be first in the queue for Falmer season tickets!

Can I ask if any of you lot bothered to go to Gillingham?
Probably not!
