Razor Blade Usage

Wilkinson Sword Quattro - I shave three or four times a week and usually it lasts about 4 - 5 weeks. I loose track of time with them sometimes but am prompted to change blades when my neck gets cut to ribbons!

As for electric razors, I find they don't shave close enough and irritate my skin really badly.

I get about 10 weeks usage from a Fusion blade which ends up as blunt as f*** but still does a job.

I can make a blade last ten weeks too but I end up looking like one of Al Capone's enemies!

This thread prompted me to have a good 15 minute shave, feels a lot better and there's bugger all else to do tonight apart from watch Crimewatch or the tennis. I get far too many zits still for my age which burst when I shave.:nono:

Can't be f***ed with shaving, I use a beard trimmer twice a week and have permanent stubble it looks much better.

That could explain the anal itching problem you mentioned a couple of months ago

No it's not that... just Russ being a bit over-enthusiastic with me. Have a word?

Will do , he'll probably be getting a northern nurse to give him a bedbath and shave tomorrow as he is hospital with a touch of diabetic ketoacidosis.

About 4 weeks out of a fusion but then I only shave when in the office (3 days a week) plus once more at weekends.

I have an expensive braun electric that is supposed to clean itself with an oil you need to buy. the oil runs out quicker than any fusion blade I've had and costs much more.

OK the good people or men of NSC (unless any beaded ladies) how long do you use a razor blade for till you replace it ?

I would say around every two weeks for me with my Gillette Fusion but what about you ?

Would you like me to shave your cucumber ? I had a quick peak tonight and it's looking a bit hairy.

You'll probably need to wait a couple of weeks, the girth is fine but I know you like value for money so I'm waiting on an improvement in length.

Interesting so many are irritated by electric razors, I have very sensitive skin (wuss) but only find wet razors irritate my skin.

I literally cannot imagine why people wet-shave with electric razors so good these days. They last for years.

...and yes I shave (almost) every day.

When I did use a Mach 3 they lasted about 3-4 days.

Cos they (Electric) don't give IMO anywhere near as good a shave.

Back to the question - about 2/3 weeks - Mach 3.

Fusion pack of 4 usually lasts approx 6 weeks, I always keep the first blade I use (which I only use a few times )in the holder for when the rest go blunt so I remember to get new ones. The question is do you shave in an upward motion or downward, I have to shave up to get really smooth & have to shave every day otherwise look rough.
I don't rate Mach 3, in comparison to Fusion they are weak. the Fusion gives me a quicker & smoother shave every time. Anyone who can use those orange disposables has just got bum fluff & a desire to inflict facial wounds upon themselves!

Blimey, I go through Blades like no tomorrow compared with you lot. I shave 1 every two days and use a Wilkinson Sword Quattro. I use the blade for two shaves then dispose. No wonder it costs me a packet in blades each month.

I'm gonna try and use each blade more often.

I tend to alternate between my electric razor and Tesco's Matrix razor blades. The blades aren't as good as Gillette's Mach 3 offering but they're pretty good imho and a quarter of the price.
