I don't think it's as bad as some make out. These issues always get magnified in times of financial hardship. I bet the bankers/politicians would rolling around seeing people turning on one another. Over here in France they appear to have somewhat bigger problems with racial/ethnic issues and have done for many years. Some of the French people i speak to appear to have this idea of Britain being a relatively harmonious place when it comes to intergration.

As i've said in numerous other posts. its very easy to moralise about racists when living in monocultural worthing and its highly unlikely you'll ever have to deal with any of the problems thrown up by the wonderful multicultural utopia you espouse.
