That flag burning was astonishingly ignorant and if that had been done at a home game we would have been crucified by FIFA.

I think FIFA need to look at the wider picture here and start an education program in Eastern Europe about these type of things.

It wasn't that long ago we were castigated by the international media for booing opposition National Anthems and we don't now.

Racialist chants at UK football games were the norm not that long ago either - but it has to be a consistant condemnation of this type of activity including advertising etc.

How many of us would stand for a racialist chant now days ?

Especially from our own fans.

Last season there was abuse directed at the black Arsenal players from a section of the crowd when they played PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, UEFA fined them 3,000 euros. The organisation is totally spineless, if they were serious about stamping out racism at football matches there would have been a huge fine, not a derisory one, or PSV might have been ejected from the competition for not having there house in order, that would have sent the message out that certain types of behaviour would never be tolerated.

I can only comment on what the BBC transmitted, it is clear that there has been abuse directed at English players because of their skin colour during tonights match. It is time for UEFA to make a real example and try to stamp out this behaviour, it is totally unacceptable.

I made a similar posting following the last time this happened, yet the toothless mandarins have let us down and a repeat performance has occurred. Is this final proof that money is more important than allowing racist abuse to perpetrate football, sadly I believe it is.
