Yesterday ticked all the boxes for a good day out at the footie :
Southern train from Southampton to Brighton departed on time, and arrived on time. (Gasp!)
Snow falling but not affecting anything
An Albion home fixture on a Saturday with a 3.00 kick off (Double gasp!)
After a teeny wobble nice to have not too hugely difficult opposition.
Good to have injured key players back and up and running.
An early goal to settle the nerves and a comfortable match thereafter.
All our goals scored by our strikers leading to a convincing win.
Back to the top of the table (well, for a couple of hours!), Leeds and Reading not winning, and Palace!
After a couple of pints post match, a leisurely stroll to Falmer station to board a Brighton train that had just pulled in.
Retiring to the Lord Nelson for more celebratory ale to celebrate more after the England rugger buggers did a number on the Welsh rugger buggers.
Onto the Evening Star to celebrate celebrating.
Purchased the best chips going, and with a bottle of wine to consume, boarded the Southern train to Southampton - which departed and arrived on time. (Treble gasp!!!)
Finally got home to watch a recording of C5 Championship games.
So yes, all in all a grand day out.
