I am thinking of going for a night out in Brighton tonight, would the clubs let me in if I showed a birth certivicate? I don't have a driving liecense or passport? Just feel in the mood to go out tonight.

It should be fine, if you also have a credit card with the same name then they'll let you in.

Anyway, if you have a credit card that shows you're OVER 18 which is what the whole ID thing is about.

It'll be fine.

It should be fine. Some clubs are stricter than others such as The Beach but ultimately how would you have someone else's birth certificate AND 2 bank cards AND a connexions card (with DOB) all with the same name? Just make sure you're dressed smartly and you'll get in with no problem.

If the connexions has your PHOTO on it, then it's as good as a driving licence!

Some places, especially saturday nights in Brighton, places can be REALLY arsey about ID. A lot say they only accept passports/driving licences, no matter how genuine anything else might be.

Some people may not have a passport or driving licence though. Might be worthwhile phoning the club before you go if you're concerned.

KK certainly I will head off now, I learn't bits of how to survive a night down in Brighton thanks to Fatboy, I think I will be fine.

Well a strange but good night. Got down to Brighton at about just after 11pm. I saw Piers (Uncle Buck), on the way to the seafront, at first I tried a few clubs and bars but could not get in or afford (More afford than not get in). Then I bumped into a London Doorman, who was in Brighton for a good night out, but said he was having problems getting into places (lack of ID can't remember?)he managed to get us both into the Beach Club via his Doorman card (he payed for me provided I got him a beer), and we both had a good time in there seeing loads of fit totty. All in all not a bad evening,

I want to get down there earlier next time, with money, better ID,and better prepared for Brighton Beach afterwards.
