questions asked at a job interview...

My mate works for a consultancy in web design and he's on the interview panel, they like to throw in a curve ball question to test a sense of personality, the last one they asked at the interview was "who would win in a fight between superman and batman?"

After pondering for a minute I plumped for superman, as after all, even though batman has cool gadgets, he is not superman! Who can't be beaten, ever.

But the lad who got the job apparently pondered it for a minute and answered "well this obviously Marvel comics vs DC comics so that fight could never happen...."

Great answer.

No, not a great answer as they are both DC Comics.

If you stick around to answer any of these questions you have zero dignity and deserve the shit job and wage you are clearly applying for. And in-case someone else hasn't pointed it out Superman and Batman are both DC so either the poster is a bullshitter or the person who told him the story is.

just passing on what I was told

I personally have no idea if they're both DC or Marvel or what. I'm not a comic kind of person. I just think superman would beat batman,

And that possibly it would add to the thread as it is about stupid questions to be asked at an interview, which that is.

Wasn't expecting to be shot down for something this juvenile.

Ha! Fair enough. Quite right, it is a daft question. I agree, Superman would win.

A mate of mine was in an interview and was asked "what is your impression of the company" to which he replied "I'm sorry, I don't do impressions"

Needless to say he had already decided that the job wasn't for him so had stopped taking the interview that seriously.
