Sorry, totally disagree! Will Self is a legend. Speaks infinitely more sense than the jingoistic crap some others come out with. The fact that he knows words with more than one syllable is a plus, in my view.

I'm torn with Will Self. He comes out with the same sneering bollocks every time he's on QT, but sometimes it's actually perfectly justified. Case in point was his answer to the question about whether it was reasonable to blame the contraction in the economy on the weather, and he ended up asking "what is the plan guys?"

I too would like to know what the plan is, because just cutting everything doesn't seem like much of a plan to me. On the other hand, it's not an answer to the question he was asked.
