[Albion] Question for those that live OUTSIDE of Sussex, how visible is your support of The Albion?

Live in Birmingham and my replica shirt goes on for every game. Generally get a comment along the lines of "oh Brighton, you're doing alright, good side are Brighton".

My son's always been keen to wear his replica shirt when out and about, usually surrounded by WHU, Spurs and Arsenal shirts among his peers.

But he hasn't yet used his MyAlbion picnic blanket, as he thought it was a towel - kids, eh, what do they know!

I do have a Brighton sticker on the back window of my car but it's tinted, so you can barely see it!
I wear an Albion shirt whenever I watch matches in the pub.
I have a couple of long-sleeved training tops which I wear for winter running or post-run in the pub.
Also, a good collection of Albion "toques"* on rotation throughout the winter.
In the house, I have a few mugs and a couple of framed prints.

Living in Yorkshire close to the two massives can be a little stressful when showing the colours. I had a BHA plate and sticker in the window. They kindly smashed the window and damaged the plate. Now my car has no obvious insignia.
When I am out and about in Donny I can often be seen wearing a Brighton sweat top or tee shirt. Also a badged cap or hat occasionally. Same with my son. When he has a kick about with some friends he is always in Brighton kit.
Mainly Donny fans are always happy to chat an tend to admire the Albion. As for Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday fans the arrogance drips from their tongues. Some Leeds fans offered to take me and the lad to a Leeds v Brighton game. We accepted the lift,but had to put up with superiority complexes. I did chip in with ',You know Brighton are quite good and I think we might win' . 'Nonsense' they said adding 'It must be a privilege to play mighty Leeds.'
After we duly won ,I was amazed they let us back in the car. The journey home was in silence. We never saw them again.

In the summer 1983 I was lucky enough to attend the Bobby Charlton Soccer School. All the boys wore their replica kits and as you can imagine there were countless Man United shirts but also a lot of Liverpool, Everton and even quite a few Man City kits and some Arsenal ones. And among them all there was one kid in a Brighton and Hove Albion kit!

I was thinking this the other day funny enough when I was on a plane to Rhodes and someone next to my daughter was reading the dick knight book. I dont think i do anything to give away my support of the Albion. No shirt, no phone screensavers or any merchandise of any description

Just to lighten the mood, a question about how we’re perceived in other parts of the country.

If you live OUTSIDE of Sussex (and Brighton and Hove!!) how visible is your support, for example:

Is your car well stickered up?

Do you wear an Albion jacket, polo, hat etc when you go to your local pub or to work?

Do your kids, or even yourself wear a replica shirt at football training or out for a run etc?

Have you got a flag flying in your front garden?

or do you generally not wear colours and only declare your allegiance when asked?

Wear a replica shirt on match days (to the shops if we are away)

Always worn an Albion baseball cap and sometimes an Albion shirt, hoodie, t-shirt, polo, jacket or jog pants. Always managed to leave an Albion mug in the offices I've worked in.

Nothing worse than a thread about Fan Heirachy. How about a numbering / points system where you earn points on games attended, creating a fan ' leage'. Then if you have a higher number than someone else you then have carte blanche to revel in being a ' better' supporter than others. imagine the glee some would have armed with official validation

I live in Manchester and have a brighton tattoo on my leg which sometimes sparks conversation but other than that and my accent, you'd do well to know I'm a brighton fan by appearance.

Abroad though always wear a brighton shirt and bring a brighton towel etc
