My friends, like me, are thankfully too old and restrained to behave like that.

My son's friends on the other hand.........

Thanks for the advice!

Not sure which thread to use so I'll try this! I'm in same boat ... have 2 ST's but I know we won't be able to make every game and having only just moved back to the area don't have a load of mates ready to take them from me. The unofficial exchanges are fine but it'll mean swipe cards going through the post and then hoping to get them back etc... it seems just a bit random whereas if the club did it they could simply deactivate my card for a game and activate someone else's (non STH's will have cards too I presume). The unofficial worries me a little and I don't understand why the club aren't at least declaring their intent

It's illegal to sell on a football ticket to someone else, and so the club cannot officially support this practice. I believe they are 'unofficially' turning a blind eye, but even this is probably going further than they possibly should if ever a major incident ended up in the hands of lawyers.

An official ticket exchange is fine, as the ticket holder is simply returning the ticket to the club for a partial refund, and the club is then of course free to sell the seat on.

Sorry to keep on - but this is clearly important to a significant number of us. What constitutes an 'official' exchange i.e. do these 'local' arrangements count? If not, who can we contact to lobby for one?

Please don't say you're even thinking about sending your swipe card through the post. Just. Don't. Do. It.

The correct course of action is to bombard the club with demands for an official ticket exchange for the 98% of STHs who have no intention of buying a Private Seat Licence.
