Quality or Quantity?

Been thinking a bit about this recently - not quite sure which I regard as of greater importance, so I thought I'd throw it out to the masses!

usually its Quality. But in some cases Quantity rules - id rather Brighton score 3 or 4 school-yard-bundle-it-over-the-line goals a game than 1 spectacular wonder goal to sit and defend. (sorry to bring football into it )

It depends. In general, I'd say quality.

But if you asked a German soldier on the Eastern Front in WWII, I think they'd vote for quantity!

In our case of both defenders and midfield I would definitely go for quality 1 good player rather than 3 mediocre.
