I fed my football needs with a short trip to see the other "big" Sussex derby
Lewes V Bognor Regis Town.
Gorgeous weather NOT !
Lewes won 1-0 East Sussex prevail ....as usual !!

Speaking of which, those Bognor fans were a bit rowdy. Throwing loo rolls on the pitch, taking their shirts off in the rain. Singing louder than the north stand at the Amex.....

have you seen a scruffier football ground/building site than Whitehawk?

Not recently but I assume they're doing some work in preparation for promotion. Are those seats behind the goal from Withdean by any chance??

yes they are, and the advertising boards, turnstiles, steps, etc stored behind the fences - probably to do with the Kevin Keehan connection. looks like the work has stopped.

I know exactly what you mean.

It was so annoying getting to Withdean on match days and having to push your way past all those multi-millionaires and billionaires demanding to buy our asset-less debt ridden club so they could lose their cash just to try to keep the club afloat for that much longer.

In fact i was late to the game on several occasions because there were just soo many of them pleading to be allowed to pump all their money into the Albion and Knight was there, pushing them away with a barge pole. In fact, everywhere you turned on the way to the ground, there was another potential buyer sulking because Knight had refused to step down or to let them onto the board.
