I don't drink alcohol at all but will quite happily go to a pub to socialise with friends or whatever, whereas I don't go to clubs at all and never really have done, so pub for me.

Depends - think both nights have their place.

Its nice to meet out for a quiet drink in a nice bar.

However, a girls night out in town clubbing and hitting the dance floor and having a laugh with your mates now and again - priceless!!!!

Pub

I'm 21 and prefer have a rant/chat shit about anything and everything with mates in the Pub, I'll reluctantly go to clubs, but will prepare myself by downing a few shots.
Trouble is in Hastings, Pubs in town play the music so loud it's impossible to have a decent chat/drink. Go to the Old Town for somewhere better/more quiet... Most of the bars are about the size of my living room, there's no winning...

Definitely pub for me, I have never really been into the dance/popular music that they churn out in night clubs. Although I used to love the Hungry Years until it became a gay bar. Stopped going there as the music changed dramatically lol.

Up to a year ago I would have said clubs.

I thought I was one of the best dancers in the world when I took ecstasy every weekend in clubs in Brighton, London, Manchester or Birmingham. But, I always looked wrecked; people would often say to me "you look as though you're on drugs" with my pupils dilated as I've got very blue eyes. I cringe when I look back even though it was great fun but the long-term effects of E have f***ed me up with depression and paranoia.

Now I can go into pubs and just have a lemonade or coke and not be tempted to drink alcohol.

for me the night is over by the time you hit a club unless you are completely wasted! It's pretty much standerd that you pay £7 to get in can't hear a word anyone is saying to you and suddenly find yourself on your own after your mates either get chucked out or are throwing up outside!
