The seating arm although attached to the car park is council owned and your free to sit there with beer from the coach or tesco!

I had always assumed that was the case - without ever testing it. The White Horse comes into its own on a balmy summers evening.

I think just before my time. I would have loved to have seen the Copper family in full flow - although at the time I would probably have gone into the other bar.

There did used to be occasional bouts of singing in the Black Horse Public Bar.

I used to work in The Coach House when I was 15-18 in the mid 80s; kitchen work and some table waiting. It was a restaurant back in those days run by variety stars Margo Henderson and Sam Kemp and their son Chris. I also briefly worked for the new owners who took over and made it into a pub. Anyone remember Margo and Sam? A really lovely couple of people to work for.
