I've not had a meal in the Red Lion for years, but I did go in for lunch recently, just a ham sandwich, and it was not really very good. Just a small bit of ham (not very good, bog standard ham), between two slices of cheap bread. Nothing else, it looked quite sad on the plate really. I know it's only a simple sandwich, but I could have done better at home. It was edible, but didn't make me feel like I wanted to go back for anything else. As it's only about 400 yards from my house, it would be good if it was somewhere I wanted to go to eat.
