Pub food near brighton station

Any recommendations for decent Pub food near brighton station. Taking my oap father there this afternoon so cannot walk too far.

Both the Battle of Trafalgar and the Sussex Yeoman do nice food, although they're do involve walking up a hill.

Battle of Trafalger does decent pub grub (£6ish main), the Yeoman has better food in terms of quality and choice but it is also more expensive (£10ish main).

A friend and I had some great food in the Yeoman last week but ate it on the bar as it was packed but if you;re getting there in the afternoon it should be fine.

Had lunch at the Albert- Just down from the station- on Sunday. Really good Burger and Chips for seven quid. Plus Dark Star beers to accompany!

Personally I wouldn't bother with the pub and just walk 5 minutes to Bill's on North Road

I think the Yeoman is closed during the afternoon Monday to Thursday until at least 5.
