I had a TURP last year, general anesthetic so didn't feel a thing, and it has improved things a lot.

Incredibly sad that 14% of men found it embarrassing to talk about their problems. I spoke about it before I was diagnosed even then I probably left it too long to go to doctors.

Recently had a CT scan for my intestines and an incidental find has shown a "hypervascular lesion in the right seminal vesicle" and I've been referred to urology for a check.
No symptoms. No problems having a wee (rarely get up in the night and have a decent flow). Recent PSA test came back negative.
Got an appointment at the Urology clinic next week.
Slightly worried at this stage but hoping it's something and nothing.

Visit to the urologist last week. He sent me for an MRI on Saturday. Results back yesterday and a letter from him today saying theres a bit of calcification but "nothing sinister" and he's discharged me.
Relieved and off out for a little bit of beer to celebrate.

Update on my treatment.
7 months from my first 'high' PSA I've now had 3 x 12 weekly injections and all is looking very good.
I was in Maidstone Hospital Monday for treatment to my prostate. I was dreading this as it involved tubes pushed up my penis.
The team were brilliant, talking me through it whilst not saying too much. Taken into the theatre I was given a 'Spinal' injection to deaden my body from my belly button down. Asked if I wanted a 'personal' sedaction I was given what the doctor called a Harveys Ale Special. I think the operation lasted about 1 hour plus but I was out of it and fell asleep.
Wheeled back to a small recovery ward, I was sent home when the nurses were happy with my results with a catheter. Have to say it's uncomfortable but it's only for 3 days.
So for anyone moving along the route, yes there are some painful things coming up but there is no need to worry about anything.
