How come this thread has become a 'things that CH won't be trying on Friday' thread?!

Propper has been first choice and ever present (apart from this suspension) all season, so I .expect him to play against Utd. Kayal has done a good job as back up CM in recent weeks, but that is basically what he is this season - our back up CM.

That does make me laugh.
We have one of the most conservative managers in football, yet these threads always boil down to playing 8 left backs, The Krankie's up top with Ryan playing rush goalie.

Yes.
No. Why would we want to be negative? 3 midfielders isn't what got us the points at home to Arsenal and Spurs, I don't see why we'd start now. It's the sort of stupid thing BG would do, so I'm out.

Have you told CH that you don’t want a negative set up? He specialises in “not losing” setups more often than not.

Oh and have you see what BG thinks of Kayal, I very much doubt he’d go for him starting with Propper back.

I have gone for starting with all 3 to stop United getting ahead early on as City, Chelsea Liverpool did at The Amex. Just to make your day I still maintain that Kayal isnt good enough but he is the best cover we have at the moment for Propper and Stephens but lets see what happens in the summer if we wish to avoid a similkar season next season and to progress.

Fair enough, no big disagreement from me

How many times have we started with 3 central midfielders this season?

See poll results.

Same formation as normal, with Propper slotting back in.

I do like Kayal, but Propper is a different class. Fantastic signing.

City didn't score for about 70 minutes (Liverpool half an hour). How about Spurs and Arsenal?

We need to stop United scoring for 70 minutes or so and hopefully get one ourselves so it has to be a defensive set up unless United win today and rest players on Friday. We played City before they had chance to gel.

Kayal v United, three midfielders v City. Gross has been poor away from home, and Hughton should shuffle his pack way more often.

Arsenal make 8 changes for their game today so United should get the 3 points that they need which would then suggest a much changed side against us on Friday.

Due to Man Utd winning today I would expect the same line up formation as normal with both Knockhaert and Izquierdo starting and it will be Kayal with Stephens and Murray up front. I would suggest back to tried and tested.

How is it ignorance to simply have a different view of a player when nothing can be prove. For the record I do not think Kayal is good enough but he is the best that we have at the moment to cover Propper and Stephens, hopefully that will be remedied in the summer.

Stuck record more like

What about our successful games against Arsenal and Spurs? They weren't with 3 in midfield.
Due to Man Utd winning today
Er, it's 1-1 with half an hour to go. And even if they win, why do they need to rest lots of players on Friday?
