The Fatherland
This is why we can't have nice things
This brings me back to a question I asked a week ago, when and why did Brighton support change? Go back 15 or 20 years and away support was boisterous, loud but friendly. There was none of this lets-go-ker-a-zee OTT contrived celebrating.

I'm not so sure. London games have almost always bought out the dickheads. It used to be the further North you went, the away support was as you describe above but London has had Stone island, first pint virgin vibes for years.

I'd agree there is a tendency to over celebrate goals. I reckon this started when the BBC started filming pint luzzing during the World cup and running the clips in the news. Fun at first maybe and possibly even justified if it was a last minute winner to get you into the world cup final but luzzing a pint for sticking 5 past Panama? It's now a competition to be England's biggest dickhead supporter. Some of this has filtered down to the club game. It can do one
