Way out west
Add to that the increased costs of stewarding and policing in Division One, we are probably far worse off financially, we will need far more security with the likes of Leeds, Cardiff and Millwall visiting than we needed last season with Grimsby, Hartlepool and Brentford.

There seems to be two discussion goin on here - how much being in Div1 is worth and how much we get from the play offs.

from what ive read on this esteemed board, the playoff gate reciepts are split in some way between first the whole league and then the 4 teams involved. somthing along the lines of 1/2 between the teams involved, 1/2 to the rest of the league.

Now, assuming an average price of seats for the final of £34, the pool is upto 2.2 million straight away. plucking figures a bit from the air, the play off semis probaly raised around another 900k (15k attendance x av 15 ticket. 3.1million before any prize money, TV, merchandising etc. So i reckon thats worth 387k.

Merchandising i reckon brought around another 300k (£10 av Brighon fan)

Id be guessing the figures for Prize money and TV, and cant be bothered to look around to find them, but all told i reckon the total figure will be around

£800 000.

As to the question of how much its worth to be in the 1st, thats another story...
