Private Health Insurance

Private Health Insurance can easily lead you into the wrong sort of treatment.

The system is geared up to facilitate queue jumping for surgery.

Therefore, you get surgery.

This isn't always the most appropriate treatment for chronic conditions. The NHS is a much better bet if it's long-term health care that's needed.

I have and got my double hernia sorted out a year earlier.

I would recommend it, even more when your company funds it.

Grrrr.

My operation is going to cost £7000.

Private Health Insurance is certainly something I will take out when I start working!

One of the benefits of working in a private hospital is getting free medical cover. One of these days I'll have to injure myself to make use of it.

I get BUPA with work and its fantastic you just pop into ya doctors tell him what ya want doing and in a matter of days your getting it sorted.

I get steroid injections in my hands, feet and wrists due to excess cartilage as a result of too many bike crashes, almost bi monthly now with no wait or hassle, if i didn't have BUPA I'd have arthritus by now for definate !!

waste of bloody money . . . .my Dads about to die of cancer and they did feck all for him, its only thanks to the NHS that they tried chemo (successfully) only to be cruelly given a harsh twist immediately after, they won't touch anything serious with a barge poll . those of you who pay for it are financing the pilfering of its workforce so stop undermining the national health service and pay your f***ing dues.

that might be slightly biased because I'm very very very pised off at the moment but you should catch my drift.

I know the NHS is bad but my mate went for an operation yesterday and he was told to ring beforehand to check there were beds; when he got there he had to sit in a cold room until a bed was available, then after the operation he got kicked out as they needed the bed!

Ridiculous.
