Whilst I see your point, Sir Alex Allan also said

‘ However, he added that the home secretary had "legitimately - not always felt supported by the department".
"In addition, no feedback was given to the home secretary of the impact of her behaviour, which meant she was unaware of issues that she could otherwise have addressed."

Apparently not...... according to Sir Phillip Rutnam....

"As early as August 2019, the month after her appointment, she was advised that she must not shout and swear at staff. I advised her on a number of further occasions between September 2019 and February 2020 about the need to treat staff with respect, and to make changes to protect health, safety and wellbeing.”

They're a disgrace. Capable civil servant spends x months producing report, interviewing the key figures, and comes to the conclusion that the Home Secretary has bullied staff. Boris Bannon dismisses that, defending the bully, causing the capable civil servant to do the honourable (remember that?) thing and resign...

...Meanwhile this is a welcome distraction from leadership rival's decision (and leadership bid) to freeze the pay of the entire public sector -- bar NHS staff, because the public (that's you, whoever's reading) might be a tad peeved by that. What's worse is that the justification offered is that the private sector has suffered during lockdown, and that the public sector really deserves to catch up with it. This conveniently neglects that:
-- this is precisely the argument launched a decade ago
-- the public sector have had a decade -- that's ten years for the arithmetically-challenged -- of pay cuts
-- the private sector has had pay rises in the past decade
-- the public sector -- previously cast as frontline workers -- have been working during lockdown, on the whole
-- a significant proportion of the private sector have had their feet up on furlough, the cost of which will be borne by the public sector, just to assist the leadership bid of the richest man in the Commons

Utter disgrace. I suspect it'll be ignored by those in the private sector, who will start bleating if the public sector has the temerity to withdraw their labour.

Apologies if fixtures.

Boris set up a tribunal. The person charged found her guilty. Boris dismisses the findings. Person charged with running the tribunal resigns.

Nothing to see here.

Imagine the boot on the other foot.....

Labour charged with antisemitism. Tribunal says 'yes'. Corbyn says OK but it's not a big deal. Starmer says 'you're OK mate'.

The gammon would have been all over it (even though they have no time for the 'Israelites' themselves)

Nice to see Labour perched on the higher ground. I'm content I rejoined the party after Starmer got in and started to make his mark.

I expect JCFG and others have a mountain of whataboutery to thow at me now. Fire away. I'll put you all on ignore

Very weird man who once again has been knocking back to much of old Grandpa’s cough mixture.

If Patel was a lowly civil servant her career would have ended 3 years ago. But as a Vote Leave nodding dog, she lives for another day

We have a real issue with governance now in Britain

So if you act like a ****, but no-one tells you you’re acting like a **** then that’s ok?
