Well apparently anyone who doesn't support Brighton is a :censored: . Some people....

I understand Nelson Mandela doesn't support the Albion. I've always hated him

The less said about Mandela United, the better...

Clearly JP was making a joke, does anybody really think he would make any sort of commitment at this time ?

Are we not over-reacting a bit here?

He was trying to be funny, albeit unsuccessfully. He clearly cannot comment on the matter. We didn't really expect him to turn round and say "Sod the enquiry, we'll let you build the ground anyway" today did we?

Chill Guys! :smokin:

AGREED TOTALLY!! I think he is one of those people trying to be funny but came across the wrong way!!

Chill!! The march from what I can see was a success!!

Prescott has a judicial role at the ODPM, if he says anything that can be interpreted as pro-Albion, then it's judicial review time, folks

The Hull answer was a pretty good get-out, what he's actually saying is "I'm a football fan."

I'm happy with that!

Methinks he was just trying to remain neutral. Hopefully, he loves the idea of a stadium at Falmer and can't wait to push it through, but as he's at the centre of things at the moment, he has to appear to be sitting on the fence, just so the NIMBYs can't launch any kind of appeal once he gives it the go ahead.

Why shouldn't he rather watch Hull in any case, that's his constituency!

Adopting a position of empathy, if I were a politician repsonsible for overseeing an enquiry into a new ground for Hull and was asked a similar question, I'd probably say something very similar (or potentially a lot more offensive)

mellow out folks
