They're doing too well. Next year with raised expectations, more ego's to fit into rotation he'll have more pressure. Otehr teams will have figured them out more too. Looking forward to the Georgies beginning to call for his head, 'we need a big name' etc.

Looks like it's 2-0 now. Is that the best angle they've got?! SHit cameras and VAR
Too well? That's a new one.

Howe and Ashworth have a strict "No Arsehole" rule when it comes to recruitment, so balancing ego will be easier, especially with more fixtures and 5 substitutions available every game. Figuring us out is a risk, but even this season I've seen our style evolve and shift, so I'm not sure you'll see us play exactly the same way. Especially as we're likely to improve our squad a lot in the summer.

Can't see a time where we'll be calling for his head in favour of a 'bigger name', Eddie Howe has so much cache, it would take a dramatic and sustained drop in performances for the crowd to really turn on him. Also the way we're being run at the minute doesn't scan with signing a big name manager simply because some dickheads in the crowd are infantile. The CEO and DoF are way, way more likely to have replacements in mind who play a similar style and manage in a similar way, just as Brighton did with your past few managers.

If we'd splashed the cash willy nilly and signed Robinho-sized egos, or ditched Howe the moment we secured safety last season, then sure, maybe you'd have a point. As it stands though, Newcastle are well run club propped up by a blood-soaked oil-state. We're only going in one direction for the foreseeable.
