Can never compare VVD to greats of the more modern era like Terry, Ferdinand, Vidic etc now IMO, you can’t show that kind of attitude and be an all time great, where’s the will to defend? Shocking.

He had one or two seasons where he was unbeatable, now he looks like a shadow of himself.

He's not been the same since that bad injury inflicted on him by Jordan Pickford's act of GBH - which Pickford was incredibly lucky to get away with.

Indeed, that doesn’t however excuse the way he literally stopped when that Bournemouth player literally walked past him, I’m not sure if it’s sheer arrogance but it’s a terrible look for a professional player.
