I can't get the numbers to add up for the training camp squad...

25 players are being taken.

We currently have 22 first team squad players + Rea is now officially one = 23.

3-4 U21s will go, which must depend on a new singing.

So that adds up to 27 !

2 are not going then...

1 of these may well be JFC having extra time off, but who is the other absentee ?

I assume that, as he wouldn't be ready for playing time yet, Crofts is being left here to work on fitness. And that Jake won't be going. And, quite possibly, Adrian too. Which would leave me one under. So, I suppose, one of them must be going.

On reflection, it could well be the 3-4 U21s were not dependent on on a signing, but on a departure.

ie 4 if a player goes and 3 if he doesn't.

So 25 would make sense.

Not the most exciting pre season games. I know we have ties to Crawley, Lewes and Gillingham, but will OUR player really get from the game, apart from fitness, and they wont of lost that much fitness in reality after a training camp and a game or two behind them. Im sure Chrissy knows what hes doing though!

Rea got almost 90 minutes as central defender in Geneva, so it appears he hasn't completely been converted into a defensive midfielder.

Onto Lewes now.

Transfer target should be to get in Zamora and a decent winger before the match.

Given we only have Dunk and Greer, apart from Rea, as centre backs, Rea's best bet for a first-team place is definitely CB. We definitely must sign a CB as a priority too.

That said, I agree with your highest priority transfer targets...
