The club have said they will announce the pre-season friendly list one they have finalised all of their opponents.
According to the argus, they are still to find a decent calibre team (championship, maybe prem) to play on the weekend before the new season.
[edit] - because we can't play at home on the Saturday due to pride, other teams don't want a Sunday match and it is rare for the 'smaller' team to play away.

August 1st is the final Saturday before the start of the new season, but the chutneys are out so we probably won't be allowed.

Don't they start at the same time this season because of the world cup. Sure they are starting early to give time to prepare for SA. Not sure though sure someone will correct me...

Possibly because it is not a crime to be heterosexual (various countries), one does not risk a death penalty for sexual relations and have not been repressed for centuries.
There is, surely, nothing stopping someone setting up a heterosexual pride day though.

Don't see why you appear to feel so angry/threatened by it. I'm not gay, Pride takes place right across the road from me, and if I'm in town i'll always go over and take a look. Have taken me kids there, have taken me aged mum there. There's bars, funfairs, burger vans, just people having fun in a nice and safe environment. Once saw Boy George do a set in a marquee a hundred metres from me front door, and the dance tents are always fine and dandy. What's not to like?

Fair enough. No reason why both couldn't take place on the same day IMHO. Police would be ideally placed to police both events, and neither would be any kind of major source of trouble.
