I suspect that the former player who wants to return and will take a pay cut is Zamora. I guess this will only become public knowledge of it happens but I understand that QPR is not his preferred choice.

i am sure i read on another thread a good few weeks ago a suggestion that murray had asked to come back on reduced money and had been declined.must be murray surely???

I think you will find that Zamora is wanting to return and will take a pay cut. QPR is not his cup of tea by all accounts. I'm sure that many will laugh at this suggestion but I understand that he has a release clause in his contract and that it would suit him well if a deal can be done.

pay cut?? he would have to take a bit more than a cut. even if you paid him 25k a week thats a 65k a week 'cut' - allegedly

I don't believe Zamora is on £80k a week at QPR, where do these figures come from?...I suspect only half a dozen players at Chelsea and Utd are on more than that. Sure I read somewhere that £40/50k a week is considered to be a big wage in the prem If and that is a big if, Zamora ever came back, I don't think it would be for the money. Hasn't he still got a house in Burgess Hill?

well i don't know anything but zamora was reported to be on 90k. i don't think 40/50k is a big wage in the premiership by any means.

It would be quite a thing personally for Zamora to finish his carer with the club where he made his name. From banging 30 odd goals at 19 at Withdean to win the Third Division. To banging 30odd goals at the Amex to take Brighton to the prem....Sounds quite romantic doesn't it?

I bet more than 50% of all the players in the prem are on less than £40k a week. Hence anything over that would be a big wage. Only the top 5% of players are on the £100k a week bracket, if that.

Nobody has a clue and it's great!

My sauce is Adam ant that it is klose and Forman with Gabriel sellassi as the full back. I know it sounds unbelievable, but the defender is.......puyol.

Trust in my sauce

he only joined in Jan didnt he, under Mark Hughes? so why would he leave, he was on the fringes of an England call up not so long ago, as much as I would love this to happen, i just cant believe it will be him, he is to good for us now and his boyhood club West Ham, I reckon would go for him again given the chance.

6 million pound man, Does this sound like a man who would want to come to Brighton for a huge pay cut just 5 months later??
