I'll be interested to see which big name manager you get then.

Why "big name"?

I'd just like a promising, young manager with a good style of attacking football, whether that's Robinson or we go for the older option of Holloway, or even someone else.

Let's face it, we're 4th in the League, playing fantastic football, we have a good squad and the best player in the league. We're quite an attractive proposition for any manager outside the top flight.

Ian Holloway.

Alternatively, anyone who won't change our current style of attacking football and will let the boys get on with winning games by outscoring the opposition.

As opposed to the other ways of winning a game of football, of course. ???

What I meant was that Palace are currently winning games that end 4-3, 3-2, 2-1 etc. These games have a lot of goals and we play very attacking football at the moment.

Compare this to Brighton who are currently losing/drawing, or other teams that defend for their lives and try to scrape 1-0 wins, and you might see what I was getting at. Palace go into every single game, whether we're playing Millwall at home or Leicester away, trying to win. We don't just hold on for a point like Gus wants you to, we attack from the start and don't stop attacking until the 90th minute.

It may surprise you Major, but the majority of the footballing world consider league position and the quality of your players as a much better indicator of a club than the stadium they play in.

Unfortunately for Brighton, your stadium and crowds are wonderful, but you seem to have trouble kicking the ball into the opposition team's net. Which is why you haven't won a game in, what, a month?

You know full well that if Brighton could compete with Palace on the pitch, you'd be talking about that instead. We let our football do the talking. Your obsession with crowds is hilarious because it really is the only thing you've got over Palace at the moment. Well, that and a manager, for the time being!

....for the last 7 games mate. Before that you were horse shit (by your own admission) and attacking the players and management team...

Except Dougie "Palace Through and Through, Job Half Done" Freedman. And his sidekick Lenny.

For the last 10 games, actually. Not coincidentally, we had signed 4 new players just before the run started who have all gone into our first team. Damien Delaney, Andre Moritz, Yannick Bolasie and Darcy Blake - signings that I believe were mocked by Brighton fans on the BBS and on here. Funny how things can change like that.

Either way, since those players have signed, we've been the best team in the league. The first three games we lost featured very weak Palace sides. We're a completely different team now, and we look bloody fantastic.

Obviously we'll lose again before the season is out, probably quite a few times, but we certainly look a good shout for a top-6 finish this year.

You're on a fantastic run at the moment, but if you think successful teams are built around conceding shit loads of goals in the hope of scoring one more each week then you'll be a bit upset by the end of the year. Your run will come to an end soon enough, just as our goal drought will.

I seem to remember from January onwards last season that all Palace on here told us that League position wasn't important - which is it ? :lolol:

PS - it's not my fault your support is shit - however I do see it as my responsibility to remind you occasionally.

They aren't built around conceding shit loads of goals, but we are playing without our first choice defense at the moment. We're missing our captain Paddy McCarthy at CB, Gabbidon who would be a first choice defender, and Ward who had been out for a couple of weeks.

The most crucial thing about our recent fantastic form, is that we've been playing (and beating) some of the best sides in the division. We've beaten Leicester away from home, Wolves away from home, Bolton away from home, Cardiff at Selhurst, etc. These are all sides that are expected to challenge the top 6 this season, and we've got 3 points against all of them. While there are no easy games in the Championship, we've got most of the hard ones out of the way early on. These sides all score a lot of goals, too, which would explain why we've conceded so many. Once we play some of the sides in the bottom half, we might get a more rounded picture of our defense.

In the same way, when you play some of the sides in the top half (you've only gotten 1 point against top half sides so far!!) you might get a better idea of how good your team actually is.

It's not that important unless one of us looks like going up! At the moment it is only one of us, and it 'aint you! I believe the point being made last season was that after taking 4 points off you, the bragging rights weren't all Brighton's.

It's not your fault that our support is slightly above average for this division. In the same way that it's not our fault that your team is shit and that you couldn't score in a women's prison with a handful of pardons! :)

Lennie was always going to go when Dougie went. Dougie has joined Bolton for money - nothing else.

Really?

I was under the impression it had something to do with Bolton being able to give him the tools to do the job, and that Parish slagged him off on twitter.

"the tools to do the job" - MONEY both in wages and transfer budget due to parachute payments
Parish didn't slag him off on Twitter, and nowhere has this been mentioned in the press or by Dougie/Parish.

Unfortunately for you, any sensible football fan can see that this was a sideways (at best) move for money alone.

God how you must love Peterborough being in this league and dragging the average down to your level.:lolol:

Brighton
the best player in the league.

No matter how many times you say it, it doesn't make it a fact.

Brighton have the best defence in the league. That is a FACT.
