If he scores the winner on Monday I hope all you fuckers are back on here stuffing your faces with humble pie

I'll personally pay you £500 in cash if that happens but we all know he has more chance of scoring an own goal than that happening.

Just a little harsh on Billy,i feel.....i cant remember him missing an open goal, and maybe he would have taken Sandazas goals yesterday in the SPL (Clear chances !!! ),now if you said 500k then a little steep . Now if Mr Bates was to accept cira £150k ,about the the same as Cooks fee, with a fat sell on then i could get tempted.......

He had a chance on Monday but did a "Johnny Wilkinson" from about 6 yards out.

This is hilarious and just shows the difference in what we, the fans see, and what the manager sees. There's been so many threads where we have seriously and knowledgeably discussed Billy Paynter and almost everyone on NSC is united in the fact that Paynter is not up to it and yet the manager seemingly has been impressed and wants to sign him

This kind of thread must make the actual experts weep.

Factless discussion where the typical bipolar nature of fans gets exposed.

Shame some individual players don't get more support. Does it ever occur to you that a player could benefit from some 'carrot' occasionally.

Very much THIS!
It didn't take long for everyone to know better than Poyet.
Still, at least it gives the fifty year old children on here the chance to use BARN DOOR as a nick name again.

Who was the last Albion player to be this publicly vilified by idiot fans?

I give you Guy Butters

Alot of people on here have watched enough football in their lives to have a fair guess at whether a player is up to the job or not. Yes we could be wrong, but I don't think so. Paynter is not a Championship striker. Leeds would laugh their cocks off if we bought him. Seen enough, time to go.

Christ he's not that bad! Ok he's been a bit disappointing but has shown the odd promising moment.

Also if this thread is referring to the interview with Poyet on the website, there is absolutely no mention of extending the deal. In fact I interpret it as Poyet not really being interested.

I think paying for him at this stage is somewhat premature. Through either a lack of luck, support from midfield or actual personal form or all three its not worked fir him yetcand he has looked a bit rubbish.

I would take him in loan for the rest of the season to see how it pans out and use the transfer money for more creativity in midfield. Then in July bring him here permanently if he shows a little more.

One swallow doesn't make a summer. I'll be keeping my pie in the fridge. The guy looks pony and the suggestion that a handful of people on here moaning about him in any way affects his performance and confidence is laughable.
