Stability is great if you already have a good manager and team - unfortunately, we had neither under Adams or Slade, and major changes needed to happen for the Club to move forward.

Or would you prefer us "stable" in the Conference and still playing at Withdean?

Hello ray of sunshine! Do you really think we're heading for the conference?

The Albion players have a month to prove they can be part of the club’s future under Gus Poyet.

That is the message from Poyet’s right-hand man, Mauricio Taricco, as the Seagulls tackle Charlton at Withdean tonight.

Poyet has already used 19 players in five matches in assessing the squad ahead of the January transfer window.

The injured Jim McNulty and Colin Hawkins, on-loan Nottingham Forest pair Arron Davies and Matt Thornhill, Jake Wright and David Livermore are the only senior pros yet to feature under the Uruguayan’s command.

Taricco said: “At the moment we are working with the boys that are here. There is no way we can do anything until January.

“There is still time to learn about the players. We have learnt a lot already in a few weeks.

“The gaffer will make the decisions in January. He made it very clear when he got here everybody is going to get a chance and everybody is getting a chance.

“They have another month now to prove to the manager that they are players he needs to get this club forward, so it’s up to them. Hopefully we are giving them the base to be relaxed and play.”

That is how it looked with no loan signing, and to be fair, a spot-on attitude. Unfortunately, it means that he will only have next year to get us promotion before Falmer - as this season has now become a complete write-off.
