Same where I was and, more annoyingly, in the squashed up queue for the train afterwards. Whilst nobody knows exactly what the effects on transmission mask wearing offers, it is seen as a common courtesy to others and an attempt to do your best. The fact that the vast majority can’t be bothered to even make this tiny concession to the health of others is depressing.

Or, in short, what a bunch of selfish *******

Covid regulations only work if they are policed and enforced. I think the fact that the club was intending to check covid passes for 20% of attendees suggests that they are only paying lip service. But no different to the trains, buses and shops where, despite the current rules, nobody is really arsed if you comply or not.

The club has never sorted out the train issues; there has always been too many fans for the trains that get put on for matchdays. We have always been crammed in like sardines. Covid now exposes the dangers of doing so particularly where mask wearing is not being enforced.

Someone put this on facebook group - interesting

Graham Potter has a 23% win ratio which is the lowest of any manager in Premier League history that has managed over 90 games. Maybe he needs to learn his history.
Only 93 goals in 92 games is appalling. A quarter of them by one player.

11 home wins from 46 league games in the Potter era is not good. (Hughton had 13 from 38) He needs to keep the home fans happy otherwise some will begin to boo

Not particularly weird.

Teams operating on a bottom 6 budget usually dont last in the PL for five years. Sean Dyche have a win rate similar to that one and it is for the same reason: he is keeping a bottom side from getting relegated meaning he doesnt get sacked since there's really no valid reason to expect more than avoiding relegation.

There was a group outside the shop pre game having their picture taken, would imagine there will be a pic or 2 on the socials so that they can be named and shamed.

Potter coming back would be the most depressing thing to happen to us since Micky Adams mk2.

The manager who took the club to the second highest league finish in its history is the most depressing thing to happen to us?

Clearly you were not around in the last days of the Goldstone or Gillingham.

To be fair he did say ‘since Micky Adams mark 2’, which was well after those days.

(It’s still absolute bollocks though, obviously).

That's not really relative is it?

"think of where we've come from" as a justification when things are less than optimum at this level, in the here and now or very recent past is self limiting thinking.

Its what RDZ railed against.

The past is the past and both a struggle and colourful. lets leave it there :)

We're no longer plucky interlopers!

The present and future is what matters and decisions in the here and now will define it, not Gillingham.

our next manager appointment is crucial to that future and it seems quite a few think Potter is a backwards step?
