Honestly, yes.Did this change your driving behaviour at all?
Hard to avoid points when you’re out and about so much. Good luck9 - out atm but will confirm - all 4 instances have been manned equipment (ie people catching you out).
I will check the speed and post, I have a feeling it was doing around 50 on a stretch of motorway that was temporarily dropped to 40 or something similar.
I'm still really curious as to how you envisage such a system to work.I have a small team of drivers all in less than a year old small vans, they all have road sign recognition and beep when they are going faster than the prescribed limit. There is no reason at all for any of my team to break the speed limit. I just don’t buy into the talk about not being able to concentrate on the speed and surroundings - if you can’t then should you be driving? For balance I drive something with over 370bhp and have no problems at all in staying within the limit when it’s 20….. yes I might open it up on dual carriageway with little or no traffic but when I do it’s knowing that if I get caught I’m going to pick some points up.
Despite all of this I do think points given should also relate to the number of miles the driver covers
The general Police speed tolerance 'rule' itself is quite straightforward: if the speed limit is (for example) 30mph, the rule states that you won't get a speeding ticket unless you are going 10% plus 2 mph faster than the limit, in this case 35mph. I'm unsure if this rule is observed by all Police forces though.Hard to avoid points when you’re out and about so much. Good luck
Got done last week, 33 in a 30 at midnight. FFS
