Chappers' waffle/chip debate has reminded me of a thread I was going to start last night:

Potato product, bread product, sauce product(s).

Describe your perfect combination. Although, let's be honest, it's nearly all food heaven when these fellas come together.

(I'm going to dwell on my choice for a while, if I may)

You see, I'm a fan of almost any sort of potato product in bread - chips, croquettes, hash browns, 'oven crunchies' and potato fritters. Even mash potato works. You need to apply some butter type product to your bread which would, for me, have to be wholemeal or granary. Don't be shy with your potato product and then a tomato based sauce - maybe ketchup, maybe something with a bit of kick to it.

Coming home from a night on the lasher lasher, chips in pitta with a good quantity of chilli sauce hits the spot every time.

I like the idea of hash browns, garlic mayo and a granary roll. :p Might have a go at that tonight
