I got trapped in a mood of melancholy (sp) whilst thinking about the game and being in the stands with people I have known and not seen for years.
Remembering relationships and how things might have been in different circumstances with a possible tinge of regret.
Trying to imagine the victory roar and the wake of big games in the past.
Wondering what the local populace was doing in preparation in that all familiar but faraway place.
An insuppressible lump slowly rising in the throat area.
Then the phone rang because I was late for a meeting!

Looking forward to running a session on complaints at work in a couple of hours; hopefully that will take my mind off the match for a couple of hours. Shows how bad things are - I am looking forward to it!!!!!!!!

I'm on week 4 of Champix. Was doing OK until this morning. Really struggling right now and if I watch the game down the pub tonight I think I might crack.
