[Football] Possibility that Barcelona have been paying referees

Can’t find a thread on this one. Report out in the Spanish press that Barca have been paying former referees under the table.

Barca say it’s just part of normal football ops, getting guidance on refereeing decisions etc, and for reports on youth players.

Others insinuate it is to influence refs. Surely a club of their stature would never do that.

It may not be illegal, but there is a moral question. The fact that Negreira appears to have been still involved with the refs association doesn't help.
