Vicky Pollard. A character created by two publically educated millionaires to poke fun at the lower classes.
They only became millionaires after Little Britain where they comically represented all members of society.
Are they also responsible for homophobia? or racists?

And David Walliams was not publicly educated. A public school is one where a student gains entrance through parents status. And must have pots and pots of money. For example, Eton.
A private school is a fee paying institution where a student must pass an entrance exam to attend. The fee's are expensive but do not even come close to public school.

Two points if you'll indulge me...

Posh and Rich are NOT the same thing.

You can be posh and be very poor (Stately Homes are expensive to maintain if you only inherited the home and not the business empire which first built it!).

Likewise you can be very rich and common as muck (Lord Sugar always strikes me as in this category - the man has no class at all!)

The posh have always been ridiculed by the working class, just as much as they ridicule the working class - such is the tribal nature of the human spirit.
The rich have always been envied by the poor - such is the greedy nature of the human spirit.

If you are rich and posh you are disliked by more people than if you were just rich or just posh!

Secondly...
Add to this the great British tradition of putting people on pedestals then knocking them off again and you get result suggested by the OP. By action, or lack of, we put this government into power because we got fed up of the last one, critising them for being Champagne Socialists and out of touch with their working class roots. We now have one that is being critised to being rich/posh and out of touch with other people's working class roots! It is both our right and our hobby to knock the political elite that we put into power!
new labour, working class roots ? hahaha please tell me you're joking ?

The term public school refers to group of around 10 percent of independent schools, which are generally older, more expensive and more exclusive. I will admit that I was unaware that they had an entrance exam as well. However, Im sure if your rich enough or important enough your child doesn't have to do too well.

Do you know which school David Walliams went to?
Do you know which school our beloved Norman Cook went to?

No , but I do know that parents status is unimportant , as is proved by the attendance at Eton of the son of Bruce Foxton of the Jam, you know , the working class heros of " eton rifles" fame.

I can see where you're coming from but I'm sure the old school tie network helps open the door for some applicants.

For the record I don't have an issue with private/public schools per se.

Unsure the point of the article you've mentioned?
All I was saying was that I disagreed with the post saying David Walliams was a multi-millionaire public school boy. He was privately educated but the school he went to would never be considered to be in the same league as any of the public schools such as Harrow or Eton.
David Walliams went to the same school as Norman Cook. And no-one says Oh Norman Cook is a multi millionaire public school boy

David Walliams attended Reigate Grammar School, which is fee paying, but also offers a number of bursaries and scholarships.I believe Norman Cook also attended the same school, for some time

I quoted the article because in an earlier post you stated that for entry to Eton and other top public schools that your parents staus had a bearing, this is patently untrue and the only point i've been trying to make all along.

Do you believe it was David Walliams talent or Norman Cooks talent which forwarded their careers or was it the fact they went to Reigate Grammar?
Ray Mears went to Reigate Grammar aswell. . . but hes not exactly talented.

Absolutely it does, I'd go as far as to say it's what a lot of them pay for, happy birthday by the way , even though you blatantly failed to extend the same courtesy to me last friday !!

For what it's worth I dislike intensely the whole posh, pompous, privileged, public school, spoilt, look what Daddy has bought me attitude.
All children should grow up as equals with the same opportunities.

Thanks. I genuinely didn't notice it was your birthday last week. Belated returns.
