Looks like they'll be taking over down there soon. Maybe their fans aren't quite as apathetic as some on here seemed to suggest.

Has the FL told Chainrai he isn't a fit and proper person to run a football club ?

Is this definite or could they avoid it somehow?

They shouldn't do! Birch the administrator, was making noises to have the deduction quashed, a couple of months back, claiming they were a special case or some similar bullshit.

Every other club that has failed to exit administration in the required time period has had a further 10 points docked. That was the punishment dished out to them pre season, although for some strange reason, it was suspended until they exited administration. Why? Who knows? It would be unfair on those clubs who have suffered further penalties for PFC not to be deducted points.

Its morally wrong that they can now potentially start afresh, paying above average Division One wages, having behaved recklessly in the past, more than once, leaving many many people and business out of pocket.

My understanding of the rules was that any club failing to exit administration by the set date would incur a further points deduction. If that date has passed and the original points not deducted at the beginning of the season , surely the FL has to deduct a MINIMUM of 20 points.

Can't see how the Supporters Trust will be able to wrestle control of the stadium from Chanrai. If Chanrai goes through the courts, he has the money to do so.....doubt the Trust will have sufficient funds.

He has already intimated that he will make a legal challenge as Portpin own the ground.

Spoke to a number of Portsmouth supporters the other week and was surprised this was not their preferred outcome. The general consensus was they do not believe the supporters trust have enough financial backing to sustain the club whilst it looks for a longer term investor to get it back on track

Reading some the comments under the piece in question it appears that there are now monied people involved in the trust prepared to make a serious investment in the club, one would hope if true, that the first people in line of this investment would be the creditors. If the PST are successful in taking the club on it will matter for nothing if they continue the process of enriching the team at the expense of expunging a reasonable slice of their debt.
