I know there are a number of factors to consider here but even so:

If you're going slag them off for not going to Wigan on a wednesday night, then you're a harsher person than I am. A meaningless "Premier League" game between 2 pretty awful sides with a Wembley trip a few days ago and with another not far away. ???

Way out west
Would we get much more than that for a game in the north-west on a Wednesday night at the end of the season for a pretty much meaningless fixture...I suspect the answer is no, unless we are really deluding ourselves!

As always, enormous respect for those who did make the trip. I heard the others were off looking for the missing millions which nobody can quite explain. Two FA Cup finals and a European adventure in the last two seasons so don't feel too sorry for them.

Surely the stats would suggest we'd take at least 200 fans to any away league game? There looks to be about 100 there.

Don't feel sorry for the fans of Portsmouth? I don't feel sorry for the club, or for the prats who ran it. But the fans don't deserve the crap they've had to put up with this season, and personally I would say that Brighton fans should be more sympathetic to clubs in their position. We've been through the incredibly tough times ourselves.

We take 300-400 minimum to a league fixture, in the premierhsip I imagine it would be a fair bit higher, even for a non event like this match.

Thats what I thought. Saying that, it must be hard to motivate yourself for an away trip in their situation.

Was ready to leap to the defence of Pompey till I saw the picture..

...but

what the hell here goes anyway...

...even though they and Palace are our aupposed sworn enemies, I have far more repect for them than fans of the London clubs - how many glory fans of London clubs will you see on a night like this?

How good were Pompey fans compared to Spurs fans in the semi?

Realistically should our hatred for pompey and palace really exceed our hatred for the so-called premier league fans who are undoubetletly everywhere to be seen at the moment?

I applaud the 130 who actually made the trip - already relegated, Wednesday night and wigan athletic. We'd take around the same in their situation.

The least appealing ground (and club)in the premier league, on a tuesday night, presumably £20+ per ticket, other end of the country, already relegated, two trips to wembley to pay for, and many people still struggling for jobs...
to be honest im suprised any portsmouth fans turned up, and fair play on those who did!

Leeds United overspent wildy when they thought they were on top of the world and nothing could possibly go wrong. Nobody seems to feel sorry for their fans do they?
