Portsmouth to be taken over by a Russian sports group 'Convers Initiatives' in the next 24hrs. Another pointless takeover by skint owners or will they actually have money this time??

Why shouldn't Pompey fans be able to enjoy watching their team in a decent stadium and without the threat of administration continuing to hang over them.

Good luck to them I say !

Maybe a positive step for Pompey but can't wish them all the best, including for a new stadium if they still owe local people real money. Hope someone involved does the decent thing and pays some of Pompey's creditors including the guy whose joinery business was featured in the Alan Sugar documentary. Don't suppose it will happen as the new owners have no obligation to do so (no thanks to those peverse FA/Premiership rules), but would be a good gesture to do something positive. I guess there is more chance of Pompey ground sharing at St Marys than this happening.

I'm just so fed up about the fans and others around footie clubs that get ripped off while many of those in control live it up - from FIFA downward. We are so lucky that we have somehow survived the dodgy years clinging by our finger tips to the edge of the abyss and now have a successful team and the keys to a spanking new stadium, thanks to a Chairman who is 3rd generation B&HA royalty, not some unheard of JCL foreigner looking for their latest franchise or scam.
