Pompey drying up.. O/T

The face of Meridian tonight, Fred Dinage, is sheding tears tonight, re a serious water shortage in the Portsmouth area. Would he have been so concerned had it been in Sussex? Anyway, the people in charge of Inbredmouth's water supply have decided to ship water in by tanker and pipeline. Where are they going to pinch it from? Ardingly and Bewl no less! Even though both are less than 50% full!

Why the hell should we have to drive dirty cars, just to keep the small town in Southampton from going dry? It's a disgrace I tell ya! Let them drink sewage. Pah!

Its their own fault. I understand that outside toilets and heating water in a tin bucket on the fire for use in an old tin bath in the front room are not the most efficient use of water.

I guess the council could encourage them to share the bath water more than twice ?

Slightly off this subject, a mate of mine who is a copper in Portsmouth was involved in a charity rowing (machine) competition between the Old Bill and 4 members of the Pompey Team this afternoon.

He wasn't sure who 2 of them were, but the coppers beat these professional athletes. Steve Stone was appartently a top bloke and had a laugh and shook them by the hand etc. Ginger Aussie (I think) Whinger, Hayden Foxe refused to shake hands or stay for further photos and stormed off in a huff. Pompey Twat. For once I am proud of the Police:lolol:
