Depends whether its spitting to release phlegm or spitting at someone!!!

I personally think either is disgusting, especially as they'll be rolling in it 5 minutes later!!!

Son? :glare:

Anyway, spitting AT someone is disgusting and is definentely worth a booking. Any other form of spitting that I can think of is fine.

Spitting eh ? Was talking to a couple of Police persons who said they can tolerate somebody lashing out but spitting is too 'up close and personal'. Will be certain to earn you a slap they say. Quite right too.

I was always amazes at how much a bit of running brings so much phlegm up. I was so crap at spitting though that it always just smeared across my face or down my shirt so carried a silk hanky tucked up my sleeve.

Now snorting snot from the nostrils is definitely disgusting and the cameras always seem to get a good shot of a player doing it. I was crap at that as well.

Sometimes it's necessary, I find it's usually the people who have never partaken in physical sport that complain.

One of my mates used to spit in 5-aside indoors. Dirty, dirty bastard.

Can understand it whilst running around playing football, but not general spitting in the street. Which seems to be the norm in Leeds. Yuk
