It means he is a good player in div 3 and he has struggled at this level and top flight.
If he was that good Villa and spurs would not have let him go for peanuts

spurs arent exactly the most renowned club for giving people chances as are villa and he was very young at spurs, as he was at qpr. defoe was not in the west ham team at crouchs age and loaned to bournmouth. now being the spurs fan you are you must admit hesa improved and so has crouch.

he was good at villa but they had angel(who was on form) and vassel(england striker at the time) so he was never going to play. and theres no doubting he was very good for southampton.

people just dont like something different thats all.

Spurs are not known for giving people chances?

Look how many young English/Irish players we have in our STARTING 11 at the moment.

Campbell
Carr
Kelly
King
Walker

have all come through our youth team to make full caps - plus Davies, Etherington and Players like Defoe have not not done bad for themselves have they?:jester:

The man is not even top premiership class let alone international class, prob would get a game for scotland or wales tho. He's not that good at heading which everyone says he is in the team for anyway

Yes we sold Davies to bring in TWO new youngsters both English and look they are both playing - or they were untill Wayne got a broken foot.

Not bitter over Brightons best player being shown the door as a failure or anything?

Yes, a great option to have, especially with crossers like Beckham

he aint in the team to score goals(he is the same as heskey so god only knows the reason why liverpool didn't just keep him instead)

if you want 4-4-2 he has no place in your team.try to persuade shearer to come back alongside owen.

if you want the long ball or you want wing play feeding a target man for your channel runners he is your man.
he provides options playing in front of or behind the main striker and can lay the ball off to long range specialists like cole rooney or ferdinand.

he aint in the team to score goals, just to create chances for others

Crouch's skill levels are higher than Heskey's, he is a better passer/link-man. He could be a useful tactical option for England against certain teams.
