It's bloody hideous.

Sussex By The Sea sounds bad enough when it's sung too quickly and worse when it's played too quickly.

A lot more votes against it than I thought there would be. Think it's a cracking little upbeat tune to hum along to as we file out the ground

Spin it!

But never, EVER play music after we score. The thought of it makes me cringe.

Do you mean after a goal is scored? Then def. no.
At end of game after a win, then yes.
By the way, enjoyed your piece on Radio 4 a few weeks back. I think the programme was about slam poetry.

I promise I will never, ever play music after we score. We've been through this one before: the initial inspiration for the HIT was hearing other teams play 'Tom Hark', a Brighton song (or a Brighton version of a South African song) by a Brighton band, at us when THEY'd scored. Music after goals sucks unspeakable things in hell.

Nope - too similar to playing music after goals for me, Attila. Pre-meditated and prescribed celebration is (or at least should be) anathema to football.

. Go on just once, next time we play Palace and score, please play The Donkey Derby. I remember about one note last time they were at Withdean.

Spin it. I've even thought that, when my time is up, I'd be marched into the trad GOSBTS and the manic version would be played at the end as people leave.

Might just be my imagination but since that track has been played after a home win at Withdean, they have been few and far between. I say bin it and get another, better tune that hopefully inspires the team to win just so they can get to hear it.

I also think it might encourage the traditional version to be sung too fast during games by the crowd as younger fans might think that is more like the normal tempo rather than our traditional slower version, if binning it helps to slow down the crowds version, i'm all for it.
