Having not had the time to dive in I've just listened to the first 3 of El Presidente and Kevin Day's Price of Football podcast, which is an expectedly excellent and insightful listen, whatever the subject.

The underlying Palace / Brighton tension between Kevin and Kieran is interesting - I wonder how that will develop over the month. Also I've noted that Kevin likes to imply the Kieran is rich etc. I've been quite surprised that Kieran hasn't risen to some of the comments to be honest!

100% agree - I listened to the FFP one today and it was interesting, diverting and bloody sobering. Definitely added to my list in future.

Thanks for the kind words chaps. Kevin's an excellent presenter and a professional comedian, so he's bound to have a dig and I just smile. Having been described by a club owner recently as 'football finance's f*cking Rain Man' I tend to be too slow to realise Kevin is being critical. He's a delight to work with and have learnt a lot from being in a room with a professional comedian, no point me trying to be funny under those circumstances, it would be like trying to show off your keepy-uppy skills to Ronaldo.

It sounds like (at least in the first couple) that he's leaving space for you to react.

I did particularly like your reference to 'small clubs like'. Shame you didn't restrict it to Palace, but we know what you were talking about :)

Ha ha. That's how I read it. Very wise.

I have really enjoyed the podcast. Be interesting to see where it goes.

And Kevin is clearly a good egg.

Unbiasedly, this is a joy. I've always had a soft spot for Kevin Day (he makes me laugh) and the chemistry (matron) between the two of you is very jolly; I do enjoy the sound of you presumably leaning away from the mic and stifling your sniggers as he takes the mick. The (often astounding) facts and figures are chopped up by both of you into easily digested portions, and I honestly cannot imagine that your podcast will not be (or is not already) popular enough to attract enough sponsorship to keep it around for as long as you like.

My only bugbear is your co-host's insistence on calling it a "pod". But presumably living in Croydon in the 90s, they never had that there technology.

Long may you continue!

I was concerned when we started that there wasn't enough material to keep us occupied, but such is the insanity of the sport I now think we will be fine and it's a challenge working out how to cram it all in. Having Derby County making batshit announcements and decisions helps though.

We have our first guest this week, a football agent, so will be asking him about the Pogba agent fee and a few other juicy titbits hopefully.

There are times where DID frustrates me and this was one of them.

I could have listened to his interview for hours instead of the 35 mins or whatever it is.

He is just annoyingly likeable isn't he.

Hey Easy 10.

Up next for The Rewatchables is Skyfall.

Sure it's no Casino Royale but I'll take it.

I loves my Bond, I does.

I've just listened to the Face/Off live show which they did. Superbly entertaining.

I love how this pod makes me revisit these films. Frankly, I hated Skyfall. I hope they shred it.

This weeks Undr the cosh, Aaron Wilbraham confirms the Coach driver story at the play off semi.
It fired up their players as they thought The Albion had done it deliberately but found out the truth a week later.

Still hoping they’ll read mine about the old bloke in my village who used to get birds to piss on his map then follow the trail on his bike...!
