Is there an actual LAW which says that a couple of gawky geeks in plod gear can stand scowling at G Block (of all places) with cameras at the ready to capture - WHAT exactly?

One day the Albion punters are actually going to say enough's enough of being treated like suspect persons by plod and stewards simply for turning up to watch an Albion match and turn to The Bears for good. It's one thing that Withdean has crap facilities, it's quite another that the paying faithful are regarded as something that just got scraped of the sole of these jumped-up twerps shoes. Show a bit of respect you uniformed scumbags! Grrrr....

One of the coppers was the kind of geeky, lanky freak who would have been bullied at school

There was NO NEED for any police to have been in attendance tonight......I really dont understand why those two young camera-coppers needed to be there, just winds up people

Waste of time but also part of the conditions of your ticket purchased.

They have a right to do it - whether it is valid appears debateable

If we get a proper ground you will have more cameras than one old bill with a camcoder - just a fact of football mate - if you have nothing to hide don't worry!

I was over in Dublin recently during the Ireland v Wales Six Nations weekend. We were there for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

During that time, in Temple Bar, we saw not one police officer, let alone any going round videoing people going about their business.

The Irish mixed with the Welsh, the Welsh with the Irish, and we English, well we got the piss taken out of us royally, but their was no trouble.

If you treat people like criminals, the inevitablly some will begin to behave like criminals.

They were probably specials. Jumped up members of the public who like to be important but in reality have nothing better to do and don't mind if the police force exploit them by not paying them!

No they were'nt. They were from the special ops dept that covers football.

They are looking for people who have been involved in hooliganism and anti-social behaviour at all football matches, not just albion related.

you haven't seen me , right

The police have cameras there because of the lack of quality CCTV at Withdean.
It is no different than at any other match in the country, the police are always watching and filming football fans at every match.
It is just more apparent at Withdean because the plod are carrying the cameras.
Just athought anyway!

They're always standing by their van videoing people going into the ground. I alway make a point of trying to look as shifty as possible when I go past them but they never want to video me :( I think they we just zooming in on some clevage in the hospitality suite/tea hut.
