I still think this is the one that will work. Think of all the former managers he now has as contacts. He has the support of the payers, and more importantly he knows only too well the problems we have.
You could say exactly the same about the other two! And having the 'support' of the players is one of the main reasons not to give it too him. He's too friendly with them. It will be a disaster, apart from Liverpool it always is.

Going against the grain, I don't think promotion is essential, nice as it would be. Give Booker the job on a trial basis at least until we get a decision on Falmer. We're hardly likely to get relegated and BB may just suprise a lot of people. I am not inspired by the names being bandied about anyway.

While I am inspired by the likes of Dowie - I too wonder at the idea of giving Bob a trial run until the decision on Falmer. By that time we will have some idea of how Bob would shape up if given the job or with, we trust, Falmer in the bag make us more attractive to other potential managers to stay long term.

He has already shown us loyalty by not taken the Leicester no2 when MA wanted him.

Sorry but no Bob!

Bob is a great No 2. There have been many great assistant managers over the years for many clubs (eg Don Howe) who have not made it as the top man.

I hope Bob has a job at the club for life but not as the manager.

What the f***?

Regards the thread, agree with most of what has already been said. BB is a superb number 2 and would possibly make an excellent manager. Just not with us. I don't mean that horribly but, as most have already pointed out, it would more than likely be a disaster a la Wood/Hinshelwood scenarios.
